OUR MISSION AT M FOR MOVEMENT STUDIO
At M for Movement, we believe that movement is far more than exercise. It is the key to awakening the intelligence of the body, rewiring the mind, and setting ourselves free from the idea that life is about suffering.
Our mission is to help people rediscover joy, vitality, and freedom through mindful and playful movement. By strengthening the body and refining the way we move, we also expand the way we see, feel, and connect with the world. As the biologist Francisco Varela revealed, "movement shapes perception" — and when we move better, we live better.

Every class at M for Movement — Pilates, Yoga, or Mobility — is designed to awaken beauty, strength, and resilience. We guide people beyond limitations into a deeper experience of themselves: one where the body is fluid, the mind is open, and life is lived with clarity, energy, and joy.
We exist to inspire transformation. Not through force, but through presence. Not through repetition, but through freedom. We move so we can live more fully.

THE VISION BEHIND M for MOVEMENT

Vanessa Brito
Passion, Integrity, Movement
Born in Brazil in 1980, Vanessa Brito began her professional life in law but soon followed her true calling: movement. Since then, her journey has unfolded across continents — from Brazil to India, the US, and Europe — 24 years of experience weaving together classical training, ancient wisdom, and modern science.
PILATES - PRECISION AND TRADITION
Vanessa has over 20 years of practicing and studying Pilates and have been teaching for more than 5 years in the Netherlands. She trained with renowned physiotherapists and master trainers in Brazil, Portugal and Netherlands, including PT. Gustavo Godoy (ViPilates Brasil), MD. Lindsay Untura as well as at the VOLL Pilates Institute in Europe. She works with the complete Pilates system — Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, and Barrel — always honoring the original vision of Joseph Pilates. Her approach is precise, personal, and transformative, guiding students beyond fitness into true embodiment and structural balance.

MOVEMENT, YOGA AND MOBILITY
Since 2002, Vanessa has been teaching Yoga and also has directed Yogashanti, a Wellness Center in Brazil, a regional reference in Yoga trainings, integrative therapies, and group classes. She has traveled many times to India to study Hatha Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Vedanta, breathwork, and meditation, integrating these practices into her teaching. Also preceptor of Heartfulness Meditation, a beautiful practice for heart-brain coherence.
Her work in Mobility and Playful Movement has been enriched by long-term mentorship with Jozef Frucek and Linda Kapetanea (Rootless Root), where she earned her Fighting Monkey badge. From this she brings research on neuroplasticity, play, and anti-aging movement, creating dynamic classes that train the body to adapt, explore, and regenerate.
Recently she went through the Hoffman Process in the United Kingdom, Vanessa expanded her understanding of the human experience through a compassionate exploration of the four aspects of being — the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and physical bodies. This deep integrative work on her own traumas has enriched her ability to bring awareness, empathy, and coherence into movement, guiding others to reconnect with themselves through presence and embodied intelligence.
INTEGRATIVE THERAPIES & HOLISTIC STUDIES
Beyond Pilates, Yoga and FM Practice, Vanessa has immersed herself in integrative therapies such as Biomagnetism, Neuroscience of Meditation and Movement, Family Constelations and Ayurveda. She has studied and practiced with renowned experts across the world, such as Joe Dispenza, Pedro Kupfer, Professor Hermorgenes, combining traditional knowledge with contemporary approaches to health and longevity.
Her path also includes studies in the Shamanic Cultures of Brazil, exploring ancient sacred techniques that connect movement, ritual, and healing. At the same time, she cultivates a deep interest in science and biohacking, bridging ancient traditions with modern research to create practices that support resilience, balance, and vitality.

ROOTED IN NATURE, GROWING WITH CARE
Since 2020, Vanessa has been developing a permaculture project in Twello, a living classroom where nature becomes the teacher. The project has an educative scope, welcoming children from local schools to discover the importance of sustainability and the art of cultivating their own food.
Through playful learning and hands-on experience, the children reconnect with the cycles of nature, gaining not only practical knowledge but also a sense of responsibility, wonder, and respect for the earth.
For Vanessa, this project is an extension of her lifelong mission: to inspire vitality, awareness, and connection — not only in the body, but also with the planet we all share.

NETHERLANDS IN HER HEART
Since 2019, Vanessa has lived in the Netherlands with her family. Now a proud Dutch citizen, she is committed to rooting her vision deeply in her new home. Through M for Movement, she unites her lifetime of devotion to movement into three living pillars — Pilates, Kurunta Yoga, and Playful Mobility — offering a space where people reconnect with their bodies, release tension, and rediscover the joy of living fully.
